Master of Public Administration 2009-2010

Full MTEC Scholarship

The Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs has appointed the University of Twente as the university where students from Central and Eastern Europe will complete a Master’s Degree in Public Administration at next to no charge. The Dutch government will be refunding the costs as part of the MATRA Training for European Cooperation (MTEC) programme. This programme has been devised to support the transition from totalitarianism to multiform democracies in Central and Eastern Europe. In addition to attending the master’s programme, students will take part in a social programme – which includes an introduction to the Netherlands – and will follow a personal development programme. Enrollment is open until 1 July 2009.

Fellowships for International Students in Netherlands

Masters, PhD and Short Courses:

Application deadline: varies

The Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP) are demand-driven fellowship programmes designed to foster capacity building within organizations in 57 developing countries by providing training and education to their mid-career staff members. As of 1 January 2009 the NFP country list was extended with Kosova as well.

50% of the available fellowships should be awarded to fellowships for female candidates, apart from this, priority is given to candidates from deprived groups and/or from marginalized regions.

The NFP are funded by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the budget for development co-operation.

AAOS International Surgical Skills Scholarship Program
Application deadline: 17 July, 2009

 

The AAOS International Surgical Skills Scholarship Program is intended to provide US surgical skills access to deserving orthopaedic surgeons from diverse regions of the world. Four to six scholarships are awarded each year to eligible orthopaedists with the intended purpose to travel to the United States to attend an AAOS Orthopaedic Learning Center (OLC) hands-on surgical skills course. Each recipient selects a 2- to 2.5-day course offered by AAOS. As part of the scholarship program experience, scholars are offered one- or two-day hospital and private practice visits designed to further enhance their overall scholarship program experiences in the United States. The entire scholarship experience will take between six to seven days.
